Dixie attends a Gnoll Relationship Counselling Seminar.
Father Arnett wants Helen found. He sends the group (Metro, Xavier, Eve and Butt) to Mother Siraiya (number two) to see if she can help.
En route, in the temple corridors, the party is accosted by Malechai Priest Pater Tristram and three Assassins. Tristram wants the Wand of Death's Door. He says it is his.
Party refuses. Fight breaks out. Tristram and the others are slept and slaughtered.
Party arrives to gorgeous* Mother Siraiya's rooms.
The bodies are discovered and Siraiya told (in front of party).
Party offers to investigate these murders. Siraiya lends them a Malechai Truth Necklace (a Necklace of Strangulation merged with a Detect Lie; "you Lie, you Die"). And gives them permission to use it on all persons 4th level and below. She also lends them her Malechai Card of Authority.
The party discovers just how factionated the Malechai Temple is here. There are three factions: Father Arnett, Mother Siraiya and Mummy Delora.

Magic Missile burns are discovered on Tristram's body. There are only three wizards in the whole of Iron City: Metro, Gloreen (Elf female; stunning*), Fortissimo (human male), so, the theory goes, it must have been one of them. Party arranges for them to be questioned. Gloreen and Fortissimo turn out to be innocent with cast-iron alibis.
Siraiya suggests that maybe Metro ought to be questioned after all. By this time, Eve, Xavier and Butt have fled – back to Father Arnett.
Metro, sensing the game is up, confesses. Siraiya is not very pleased. Metro is cuffed to a chair and the Malechai Truth Necklace put on him. The beans spilling begins...
